Gray zone

I know exactly what is black,
I know exactly what is white.
I know the rules, I know the lines,
I know what’s wrong and what is right.

I’ve learned to walk between the borders,
I’ve learned to stay inside the frame.
I’ve learned to keep my feet from falling,
I’ve learned to play the safest game.

But sometimes black and white don’t work,
Sometimes the truth is not that clear.
Sometimes you have to lose the answer
Just to find out why you’re here.

[Chorus]
The art of life begins
In the grey zone.
Where nothing’s black or white,
And you have to find your own.

The art of life begins
Outside the lines we know.
Be brave enough to cross the border,
And live inside the grey zone.

I’ve seen the world divided neatly,
Into winners and the lost.
I’ve seen the right become the wrong one,
When you only count the cost.

There are roads that have no signs,
There are questions with no name.
Sometimes losing your direction
Is the only way to change.

But sometimes black and white don’t work,
Sometimes the truth has shades of gray.
Sometimes the road that looks the darkest
Is the road that finds a way.

The art of life begins
In the grey zone.
Where nothing’s black or white,
And you have to find your own.

The art of life begins
Outside the lines we know.
Be brave enough to cross the border,
And live inside the grey zone.

Outside my comfort zone,
Above the edge of the fall,
Where I don’t know what comes next,
But I choose to face it all.

Maybe life was never meant
To fit inside two sides.
Maybe all the colors we need
Are hiding in between the lines.

Black!
White!
Left!
Right!

Sometimes you’ve got to lose the map
To find your way tonight!

Black!
White!
Wrong!
Right!

There’s more to life
Than what you see in black and white!

The art of life begins
In the grey zone.
Where nothing’s black or white,
Where you finally find your own.

The beauty of this life begins
Outside the lines we know.
Be brave enough to cross the border,
And live inside the grey zone.

It’s easy to see the black,
It’s easy to see the white.
But if you really want to live,
You’ve got to step outside.

Don’t be afraid of what you don’t know,
Don’t be afraid to let it show.

The beauty of life begins…

In the grey zone.
