LOVE IS STRANGE

Why can’t love be simple?
Why does it have to be this hard?
Why does finding the right person
Feel like looking for a lost card?

One comes close and wants forever,
One just wants a little time.
One can make my heart start racing,
And another says she’s mine.

I keep looking for the answer,
But the answer won’t appear.
Maybe love is complicated
Just because we want it near.

I’ve tried to make my heart decide,
I’ve tried to make it choose.
But every road I take tonight
Just gives me more to lose.
