Lust

Inside me burns a filthy flame
It doesn’t warm — it eats, it maims
Not love, not hunger, not desire
A thirst that knows no law, no fire

The passion twists my thoughts, my gaze
It makes me small, it makes me base
I don’t take what’s mine to hold
I steal what’s not — my soul grows cold

This is not love, this is lust
A fire that eats my face and trust
Lust makes me a thief, a hollow man
I take what’s not mine, I lose all I am

I soil myself, but not in sin
In hollow pleasures, where shame begins
Every touch leaves a mark so deep
Not on my skin — but where shadows creep

This is not love, this is lust
It knows no bounds, it breaks all trust
Lust steals my name, my face, my light
Leaves me empty, lost inside the night

I thought it was strength
But it was sickness
I thought it was life
But it was ruin

This is not love, this is lust
A filthy fire devouring all my trust
Lust breaks me, bends me, drags me down
Into the shadow of a man who once wore a crown

If you see the flame that promises heaven
Know it’s a trap — it will take your soul, your reason
