Rollercoaster of emotions

I wake up feeling on top of the world
Like everything is finally going my way
An hour later I’m staring at the floor
Trying to find a reason to stay

The smallest thing can change my mind
Turn sunshine into pouring rain
Sometimes I don’t know who I am
Or why I feel this way again

Up and down, round and round
I keep losing solid ground

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions
One minute laughing, one minute broken
One minute strong, one minute weak
Searching for the words I cannot speak

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions
No destination, just commotion
Trying to hold on through the ride
While a thousand feelings collide

Yesterday I was making plans
Ready to take on anything
Today I don’t want to leave my room
Or hear my phone ring

People ask me what’s going on
I wish I had an easy reply
But how do you explain a storm
That keeps appearing in your mind

Up and down, round and round
I keep losing solid ground

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions
One minute laughing, one minute broken
One minute strong, one minute weak
Searching for the words I cannot speak

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions
No destination, just commotion
Trying to hold on through the ride
While a thousand feelings collide

Maybe I don’t need all the answers
Maybe I don’t need to understand
Maybe every high and every low
Is simply part of who I am

Maybe tomorrow I’ll see clearly
Maybe the clouds will drift away
Until then I’ll keep moving forward
One emotion at a time each day

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions
Sometimes chaos, sometimes devotion
Sometimes fear, sometimes belief
Sometimes comfort, sometimes grief

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions
But I’m still here, still in motion
Through every turn and every climb
I’m learning one day at a time
